Michael is a lifelong Westbrook resident continuing to maintain roots with his family, wife Jessica, and son Joseph.

A Life of Service

Committed to Public Service in High School

I began my volunteer career in public service as a Student Representitive to the Westbrook School Committee when I was only 16 years old and a Junior at Westbrook High School. Then during my Senior year, I was elected to serve on the Westbrook City Council as an At-Large Councilor.

Committed to Public Safety

I began my paid career in public service as a Communications Officer for various public safety agencies in the region supporting 911 callers, law enforcement agencies, and fire & rescue agencies. I have been employed in this field for 16 years and continue work part time for the Falmouth Police Department.

Committed to Regional Efforts

For many years I have been serving with leaders around our region on various boards & committees. I am a member of the Greater Portland Transit District Board of Directors (METRO) where I have served in various leadership roles to include being Board President for 2 years helped navigate the organization through tremendous transition. In addition, I serve on the Portland International Jetport's Noise Advisory Committee representing interests of Westbrook and the Greater Portland Region along with serving as a delegate with the Greater Portland Council of Governments participating in many regional planning efforts. More recently, I began serving on an advisory board to Central Maine Power and their management.

Committed to Community Service

For nearly my entire adult life, I have been members various community organizations such as the Rotary Club of Westbrook-Gorham, where I served in leadership roles to include Club Secretary, Club Treasurer, & President, a Volunteer Committee Member at Infinity Federal Credit Union helping to protects its members, a Volunteer Leader at Eastpoint Christian Church helping in various roles, and more recently began volunteering with Westbrook Little League.

Committed to Personal Growth

Since first beginning to serve, I have participated in many growth & development trainings for municipal officials. I also obtained a degree in Public Administration from Purdue University.

Committed to Family

My wife Jessica and I have been blessed with the ability for me to be a stay-at-home parent with our son Joseph since he was 6 months old until he began attending preschool. In addition, I took two years off from elected service to focus time on my new marriage and family. Our son also enjoys attending many community events & meetings and seems to enjoy community service like his Dad.

Committed to Serving in Business

Jessica and I own various business that we also serve others in! Jessica's business in health & wellness serves others to become both physically and financial healthy. My personal business in rental real estate and financial coaching, providing support to people in various areas.
